When raising a quote, you may need to attach supporting documents such as images, plans, or additional information for the contractor.
Attachments help provide clarity on the work being requested and ensure the contractor has all the details they need to price the job accurately.
See how to add an attachment to a quote
When raising a quote:
Click the Add Images button.
Click Add Attachments.
A File Explorer window will open, allowing you to select files from your device.
At the bottom right of the File Explorer window, next to the File name box, you will see a drop-down list. By default, this is set to Customised Files, which means only the following file types are supported at this stage: jpg, jpeg, png, and pdf.
๐Note: Although the drop-down list also includes All Files, only the file types listed above can be successfully attached during the quote creation process. Any other file types will not be saved with the quote.
Upload other files that are not supported formats
If you need to upload a file that is not in one of the supported formats, you can still attach it after the quote has been raised.
To do this:
Raise the quote without the attachment.
Once the quote has been created, go back into the Get Quotes area.
Click New order and then add the attachment.
๐Note: At this stage, more file types are supported, so you can upload the required document.
