When raising a quote, you may need to attach supporting documents such as images, plans, or additional information for the contractor. Attachments help provide clarity on the work being requested and ensure the contractor has all the details needed to price the job accurately.

Add an attachment when raising a quote

Attachments can be added during the quote creation process for supported file types.

  1. Click Add Images.

  2. Click Add Attachments.

  3. A File Explorer window will open, and select the file you want to attach from your device.

  4. At the bottom right of the File Explorer window, next to the File name box, you will see a drop-down list. By default, this is set to Customised Files.

πŸ“Œ Note: Only the following file types can be successfully attached during quote creation: jpg, jpeg, png, and pdf. Although the drop-down also includes All Files, any other file types will not be saved with the quote.

Upload a file that is not a supported format

If the file you need to attach is not a supported format, you can still upload it after the quote has been raised.

  1. Raise the quote without the attachment.

  2. Once the quote has been created, from the Get Quotes area, click New order.

  3. Add the attachment at this stage.

πŸ“Œ Note: More file types are supported once the quote has been created, so you will be able to upload the required document.
