PO shows as a quote request after approval

You can resolve POs stuck on Request quote by ensuring the contractor either submits the required quote or cancels the request so the order can progress normally.

If a purchase order (PO) still shows as Request quote even after you have marked it as Approved, it means the order is still awaiting action from the contractor. The contractor must either submit the required quote or cancel the request if a quote is no longer needed.

What needs to happen

  • If a quote is required, the contractor must submit it so you can review and approve it.

  • If a quote is not needed, the contractor should cancel the request so the order can continue without it.

For contractors: How to cancel a quote request

  1. From the main page, click Request for quote required.

  2. Select the relevant order.

  3. Click Close to cancel the quote request.

Once the request is closed, the order will no longer show as waiting for a quote and can progress as expected.
