You can allow contractors to raise quote requests directly from callout orders by updating settings in Access Maintain. This is helpful when a contractor visits a site and additional work or pricing is required before the original job can be completed. Any quotes raised from a callout will remain linked to the original order for easy tracking.
To enable contractors to raise quotes from callouts:
From the Admin area, click Contractor Settings.
Unlock the green padlock
icon.Update the following settings as required:
Allow contractor to submit quotes from callout orders?
Enable this if you want contractors to raise a quote and submit costs for authorisation directly from a callout order.Allow contractor to submit quote request only from callout orders?
Enable this if contractors should submit quote requests for review, which can then be released for pricing.
Click Save.
Once enabled, when a contractor or user logs a visit and selects No to Job completed?, the system will offer options to mark the job as re-visit required or raise a quotation. If a quote is raised, the system redirects to the quote request, and the original callout remains visible under Linked Orders.
