Change the contractor's main email address

Update a contractor's main email address from the Admin area or from the contractor's account settings.

⚠️ Warning: Before changing the email address, make sure you have access to the new inbox. A verification link will be sent there to confirm the change. Without completing verification, the contractor will not be able to access their account.

When a contractor's email address is changed, the system automatically sends a verification link to the new address. The contractor must have access to this inbox to complete the process.


Update the email address from the Admin area

Follow the steps below to update a contractor's email address as a system administrator.

  1. From the Admin area, click Add/Edit Contractors.

  2. Select the contractor whose email address needs updating.

  3. Unlock the green padlock icon.

  4. Update the Username / Email field.

  5. Click Save.


Update the email address as the contractor

Follow the steps below to update the email address from the contractor's own account.

  1. From Your Account, update the Username / Email field.

  2. Click Save.


Troubleshoot email issues

If the contractor is not receiving activation or verification emails or cannot access their account after the change, check the following:

  • Confirm the contractor is logging in with the updated email address. The old email address will no longer work once it is changed.

  • Check all email folders, including spam, junk, and trash, for the activation or reset email.

  • Resend the activation email or initiate a password reset from the login page using the updated email address.
