Enabling unsatisfactory PMV inspections changes how certificates are uploaded, reviewed, and displayed across the system. Units now support multiple certificates per order and display all remedials, including those completed by other contractors. Groups also display remedial certificates for PMVs awaiting approval.
Certificates are clearly categorised with visual status indicators in the admin view:
Red X - Failed
Amber - Partial
Green tick - Passed
In the admin view, each certificate must be opened and reviewed individually before it can be approved, as auto-approval is no longer available. When a certificate includes remedials, the Review button is replaced with Approve. Before approving, always confirm that the certificate matches the recorded remedials. If the reviewing user does not have the necessary permissions, the certificate moves to the next person in the approval hierarchy. Admins can also add more contractors to a remedial quote request, which is only sent once the order has been authorised.
In the contractor portal, certificates must always be uploaded directly by the contractor. When a partial or failed certificate is uploaded, a remedial box appears requiring the contractor's head office to record all items that need further work. If the order does not require remedials, only a passed certificate is needed. If payment for partial or failed certificates is not permitted, the order remains visible in the contractor's list until a passed certificate is uploaded. Remedial orders linked to a PMV will also appear in the portal and follow the original upload process.
PMV contract dates are not extended when remedials are completed. For example, if an order is scheduled on 1 January 2026 with a six-monthly frequency and remedials are completed on 3 March 2026, the next visit remains on 1 June 2026.
