The PMV Verdict feature gives you greater control and visibility when maintenance work does not meet the expected standard. It introduces clearer certificate outcomes, support for multiple certificates on a single work order, and full workflows for managing remedial work and payments. The enhancement ensures PMVs can be tracked accurately from the initial visit through to completion.

With this feature enabled, you can:

  • Record when maintenance work is unsatisfactory.

  • Manage multiple certificates on the same order.

  • Request and approve quotes for remedial work.

  • Process payments even if the work has not yet passed.

  • Report on certificate outcomes across all units.

What’s new

PMV verdict certificate management

Contractors can upload certificates that indicate whether the PMV has passed, failed, or is only partially completed.

Why this matters:
Previously, all certificates were treated as satisfactory. The new certificate types allow you to clearly document unsatisfactory visits and ensure the correct remedial actions are taken.

Key details:

  • Certificate outcomes: Pass, Fail, Partial.

  • Unsatisfactory results trigger remedial workflows.

  • A full audit trail is maintained.

Multiple certificates per work order

You can now upload and track several certificates against one PMV order, covering the initial visit and any remedial work.

Why this matters:
If the first visit is unsatisfactory, you can keep a complete history of all follow-up certificates without losing the original result.

Key details:

  • Each certificate has its own verdict.

  • The system tracks the sequence of certificates.

  • The latest certificate determines the overall order status.

Quotes for remedial work

When a PMV is marked as unsatisfactory, contractors can submit quotes for any follow-up work required.

Why this matters:
It creates a transparent process to cost, approve, and track remedial work linked to the original PMV.

Key details:

  • Quotes are not automatically requested.

  • Quotes remain linked to the original PMV order.

  • Full approval workflow included.

  • Quote history retained for audit purposes.

Enhanced reporting

Reports now include the new certificate types to give you a clearer understanding of maintenance quality across your portfolio.

Why this matters:
You can identify recurring issues, track contractor performance, and ensure compliance across all sites.

Key details:

  • Reports now show Pass, Fail, and Partial outcomes.

  • Filters available by verdict type.

  • Trend analysis across multiple PMVs.

  • Export options for external reporting.

Configuration and settings

Enabling the feature

This feature is optional and must be enabled for each PMV type, except for LOLER, Asbestos inspections, or PMVs that use categorised remedials.

Permission requirements

Users need the following permissions:

  • Certificate upload: Contractor permissions.

  • Payment processing: Finance or admin permissions.

  • Quote approval: Manager or admin permissions.

Important notes

Updated certificate terminology

The following outcomes are now available:

  • Passed: Work meets required standards.

  • Partial: Only part of the work meets the requirements.

  • Failed: Work does not meet the required standards.

Certificate status changes

For customers using the PMV Verdict feature:

  • After a visit is completed, certificates display as Completed rather than Valid, to provide clearer visibility of the visit outcome.

For customers who have not enabled the feature:

  • Certificate statuses continue to display as Valid.

  • No changes are made to the existing PMV workflow.
