In-house PMV contracts work in a similar way to standard PMV contracts. However, they are maintained and delivered directly by the in-house engineering team. Because the work is completed internally, no additional contractor costs are generated. These contracts still require full configuration so the system can schedule visits, generate reports, and track compliance in the same way as external PMVs.
Below you will find the steps for adding a new in-house PMV contract, checking if it is allocated to any sites before making changes, and enabling, disabling, or cancelling a contract.
Add a new in-house PMV contract
To set up an in-house PMV contract:
From the Admin area, click View / Edit PMVs.
Click Add New PMV Type.
Unlock the green padlock icon.
Enter the PMV contract name.
Select the PMV account code and configure the required options.
Click Save.
Check that the PMV contract is not allocated to any sites
Before you disable or cancel an in-house PMV contract, you must confirm it is not currently allocated to any sites. Removing a contract that is still in use can lead to system errors or incomplete site records.
To verify the allocation:
From the Admin area, click In-House.
Click View / Edit PMVs, then select the relevant PMV contract.
In the bottom-left section, review the list of PMV contracts.
Select the contractor, for example InHouse.
Unlock the page using the padlock and clear the boxes next to each site where the PMV is allocated.
Click Select PMV Contracts You Wish to Cancel.
Once the contract is no longer assigned to any sites, it can safely be disabled or cancelled.
Cancel or disable an in-house PMV contract
If you need to temporarily disable an in-house PMV contract or cancel it:
From the Admin area, click In-House.
Click View / Edit PMVs and select the relevant PMV contract.
Click Contract Details.
For Enabled?, select No.
Click Save.
Re-enable an in-house PMV contract
If you want to reactivate a previously disabled contract:
Go to In-House PMV Settings.
Select Disabled PMVs to view all inactive contracts.
Change the Enabled? Setting to Yes.
Click Save.
π Note: Regularly reviewing PMV contract allocations ensures that only active contracts remain in use and helps maintain accurate record-keeping across sites.
