If a non-emergency callout is being auto-released, the most common reason is the Bypass function. This setting can be enabled for specific equipment types and allows certain callouts to skip the normal release process, sending them directly to the contractor without manual approval.

To check if the Bypass function is enabled, please follow the steps below:

  1. From the Admin area, click Unit Settings.

  2. Select the Responses/asbestos tab.

  3. Unlock the green padlock icon.

  4. Select or clear the box in the Bypass column to enable or disable the function.

  5. Click Save.

If the Bypass option is not enabled, non-emergency callouts can still be released manually by a Head Office user with the correct permissions.

Manage automatic release of emergency callouts

Emergency callouts can be configured to release directly to contractors without authorisation. When enabled, the system sends the callout to the contractor immediately after it is raised, ensuring urgent work is not delayed.

To update the emergency callout release setting, please follow the steps below:

  1. From the Admin area, click Unit Details Settings.

  2. Open the Release controls tab.

  3. Unlock the green padlock icon.

  4. Set Allow auto-release of emergency callouts:

    • Yes, all the emergency callouts will auto-release.

    • No, the orders will require the manager's authorisation.

  5. Click Save.

Note: This setting affects only future callouts.
