When the competitive quote requirement is enabled, a Unit Manager must select more than one contractor before submitting a quote request. This ensures quotations are compared fairly so the best option can be chosen. When disabled, a Unit Manager can raise a quote request with a single contractor.
To enable or disable the competitive quote requirement, follow the steps below:
In the Admin area, click Unit Settings.
Select the Quotes/Supply only tab.
Unlock the green padlock
icon.Set Are competitive quotes required? to Yes.
Click Save.
