If a contractor reads messages from outside the main contractor account, the messages will temporarily remain marked as unread. This is because the system only updates the read status during an automatic process that runs between 00:00 and 03:00 AM. Once this process runs, any messages that have been read outside the main contractor account will be updated, and they will disappear from the unread list.
Disable unread messages notifications
To manage unread message notifications for contractors, you can enable or disable email alerts by following these steps:
From the Admin area, click Contractor Settings.
Set the Notify contractors of unread messages via email setting to NO to disable notifications, or YES to enable them.
Adjusting this setting helps control unnecessary notifications while ensuring contractors stay informed of new messages as needed.
