Add new contractor users

Allow contractors to add new engineers or users to their account and explain what to do if a mobile number is already in use.

As a contractor, you can manage your own team by adding new users or engineers directly from the portal. This helps ensure that the correct personnel have access to manage or complete jobs through Access Maintain.

⚠️ Warning: Only the Head Office users can add or remove other users.

Add new Head Office Users

  1. Log in to Access Maintain as a contractor

  2. Click Users/Engineers from the main menu.

  3. Select the Active users tab.

  4. Click Add user to begin creating a new user profile.

  5. Fill in the Name and the email.

  6. Click Save.

πŸ“Œ Note: The user will receive an activation email with a link to set their password.


Add a new Engineer

  1. Click Users/Engineers from the main menu.

  2. Select the Active Engineers tab.

  3. Click Add New Engineer.

  4. Fill in the Forename, Surname and Phone number.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Share the account details with the engineer.

πŸ“Œ Note: On first login with the temporary password, the engineer will be asked to set a new secure password.

⚠️ Warning: If you see the message "This Username/Mobile Telephone Number is already in use," it means the mobile number is linked to another user in the system. This may happen if the engineer is already added under a different contractor or profile. Use a different mobile number, or contact support to check if the engineer should be reassigned.
